My wife and I recently got married and chose this resort because we thought it would be a fun and memorable experience for us and our guests. We had more than 65 rooms accounted for in our room block, rented the pickleball courts, and hosted both our rehearsal dinner and welcome party here. We had a great weekend, which makes the way things ended even more disappointing. Our biggest issue came when we received the bill for our welcome party/rehearsal dinner approximately three weeks after the event. We had roughly 35 guests for the first two hours and 75 guests for the final three hours. The bill we received showed 711 total drinks.... Based on our attendance, that works out to an amount that we found extremely difficult to understand, especially considering our group included grandparents, older relatives, children, and others who were not drinking or drinking very little. It is an absurd number of drinks per guest. Grandma would have been crawling home. We repeatedly asked for an itemized receipt and tried to discuss the charges by phone and email with little luck. Despite those attempts, we did not receive an itemized receipt we were requesting until we received a 90-day demand for payment and we still had to request it after that. The lack of communication throughout this process has been incredibly frustrating. Including the deposits that they put towards this bill, the final cost ended up nearly $10,000 above the budget we had been given for the event. It is extremely upsetting to start our marriage dealing with a bill that is thousands of dollars beyond what we were led to expect, especially when the drink count itself has raised so many questions for us. They ignored our emails dodge our calls and only 90 days later when payment is demand did a manager finally reach out. Instead, what should have ended with us thanking the resort for an incredible wedding weekend has turned into one of the most stressful and disappointing parts of our entire wedding experience. We gave them every opportunity to communicate with us and help us understand how this happened. We never expected to be treated this way after bringing our wedding, our families, and so many of our guests to their property. They overcharge, under deliver and communicate only when money is due at the very last second. I truly hate having to write a review like this, but after everything we have experienced, I would strongly urge any couple considering hosting their wedding--or any event--here to RECONSIDER. What should have been the great ending to one of the best weekends of our lives has instead turned into an awful, frustrating, and unnecessarily drawn-out experience. The lack of communication, unanswered questions, and financial stress that followed have completely changed the way we look back on our experience with this resort. No newly married couple should have to spend the months after their wedding fighting for answers and dealing with something like this.

We stayed here for 4 year old son's birthday and it was great! We rented and cabana and it was well worth it. Erica took care of us and did an excellent job! Please ask for her if you stay here. Also check in was great both Jessica & Teddy were super helpful and nice!!

We enjoy day passes at the Resort to enjoy the pool, food and amenities. The pool areas are refreshing, shaded and relaxing with a soothing waterfall near our favorite Day Bed. The Lazy River winds throughout the resort and is peaceful and picturesque. Poolside service today by ENZO was the best we have experienced this season. He was attentive, friendly and made sure we had everything we needed to enjoy the day. The smashburgers are yummy too!

We had an absolutely fantastic stay at The Woodlands Resort! The entire property is stunning, featuring an amazing outdoor area that is perfect for relaxing and exploring. From the moment we arrived, the staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. A huge plus for us is that the resort is pet-friendly, meaning our whole family could enjoy the trip together. Our rooms were spotless, comfortable, and very well-maintained throughout our stay. When it comes to dining, we were thoroughly impressed. The pool area offers decent, tasty food options that are super convenient for a day out in the sun, but the main restaurant is where the food is truly great, every meal we had there was excellent. A special shoutout goes to Vicente, the lobby bartender! We cannot speak highly enough of him. He is absolutely amazing, attentive, and mixes incredible drinks. He truly elevated our evenings. We will definitely be back! Highly recommend!

My family and I had such an amazing time at the resort! We reserved a cabana, and it was perfect for us, it was even better than we expected. The service was excellent from the moment we arrived. Everything was ready for us, drinks were served right away, fresh fruit was provided, and every detail made the experience feel special. A special thank you to Erica, our server. She was incredibly kind and attentive, always making sure we had everything we needed throughout the day. Her outstanding service truly made our experience even better. Thank you, Erica, for taking such great care of us. We hope to come back again soon!

We stayed here recently and would not return. The food did not meet the standard we'd expect at a Curio Collection property. The bed was uncomfortable. Environmental safety on the property did not match what a Hilton-tier resort should deliver. (multiple mud doppler nest on the patio, and a collapsed walking bridge) If you're considering this property, look at other options in the area first. For a water park - golf stay, it may be a better stay... as a resort stay.. avoid.

Our experience at The Woodlands Resort was extremely disappointing, especially considering the price of the stay.Upon checking in, we were told our room was not yet ready, which was inconvenient but understandable. While waiting in the lobby, we noticed staff repeatedly batting away bugs around the check-in area and laughing about it, which immediately raised concerns about the property’s condition and how seriously the issue was being taken. After finally receiving access to our room, it became clear that it was nowhere near ready for guests. On the walk to the room, there was a strong smell of some sort of substance in the hallways. Once inside, we began wiping down surfaces and immediately noticed what appeared to be blood stains on the door lock and in multiple areas of the carpet. It was shocking that a room in that condition had been released to guests after we had already been told the room was not ready. The room itself felt old and poorly maintained. There were gnats present, several lights were not functioning, and the overall cleanliness was unacceptable. For a resort charging premium rates, the condition of the room fell far below expectations. We requested a refund and decided to leave. While gathering our belongings, a staff member repeatedly banged on our door and informed us that he needed to clean up blood or “something” in the room. That interaction only confirmed our concerns and made the situation even more unsettling. The lobby made a great first impression, but unfortunately that was the only positive part of our experience. Between the delayed room, insect issues, cleanliness concerns, maintenance problems, and the handling of the situation, the entire experience was a significant inconvenience and a waste of time. Guests paying these rates deserve a clean, properly maintained room and a much better overall experience.

The Woodlands Resort is one of my favorite places to escape and take a breather from the real world. From the moment you arrive, it feels like you've left the daily grind behind and stepped into a true vacation destination. The amenities are outstanding. Whether you're into golf, fishing, tennis, relaxing by the pool, or spending the day at the water park with the family, there's something for everyone. The resort strikes the perfect balance between relaxation and recreation. The restaurants are excellent, the rooms are comfortable and well-appointed, and the entire property is beautifully maintained. It's the kind of place where you can stay busy all day or do absolutely nothing and enjoy every minute of it. Honestly, I could move in and be perfectly happy. If you're looking for a getaway without having to travel far, The Woodlands Resort is hard to beat. Five stars all the way.

Stayed here 4 nights in Feb 2026 for a conference. Amazing large room with separate living room area. Everything was clean and orderly. Ate at the restaurant, food was pretty good. Nice location in a great area (Woodland) with a lot of nice places to eat and drink within 10-15 mins drive. The grounds are nice with lots of trees. We'd go again.

Feb 2026 -What. Beautiful resort. The weather was okay and the place was all to ourselves it seemed. They have everything you could ever want here. Too much to list. The staff are amazing and room service top notch. The pool, jacuzzi, river, and lakes and ponds you can fish in were amazing. They rven had an arcade. Pets welcome. Highly recommend this resort if your visiting Houston. Its about 30 mins from the airport. If you love golf, corperate amenities and conference halls, or just want to get away with the family, this place is spectacular.
