The Hyatt Centric The Woodlands generally receives positive feedback, particularly regarding its location and convenient access to shopping, dining, and entertainment. However, recent reviews highlight inconsistencies in service, cleanliness concerns, and issues with room amenities and pricing. Some guests found the hotel to be smaller and lacking in certain expected features, like included breakfast.
Location great, but.. Check-in trainee (that's perfectly fine) but we stayed on a fairly slow night and request a quiet room away from elevator & vending. Got a room just off the elevator & next to ice machine...but they threw in a great view of a parking lot with a large glowing "H-E-B" store sign. All forgivable oversights, but we booked and mentioned an anniversary stay (39th) and no acknowledgement on check-in or out. I guess all this is forgivable but contrasted with Mastro's Ocean dinner (special printed menus, call prior to & after reservation wishing us a fantastic celebration, etc.) just seemed different. Thanks Hyatt for absolutely not doing anything to enhance the stay.
This hotel is in a great location and is a very upscale experience, great service. When checking in the front desk told us breakfast would be from 6-11 which was misleading because saying this would make us think it was included for us. It was not. Parking is a major pain, we had to park on the highest level of the general market street parking garage and tote all of our stuff to the hotel because they do not have dedicated parking which is misleading when they advertise free parking. Free parking because they dont have any actual dedicated parking for their own guests. Just "if you find it". The room was very nice decor. Worst night sleep ive had in a long time though. The bed was rock hard and all of our pillows were feather pillows that when you put your head down, they gradually inch around your head so your head isnt propped up by anything. Major neck pain in the morning and no sleep. This hotel is all looks but no comfort.
I was disappointed with my recent stay at the Hyatt at The Woodlands. From the moment I checked in, the experience fell short of expectations. The front desk staff was rude and unwelcoming, which set a negative tone right away. Instead of feeling like a valued guest, I felt rushed and dismissed. Valet parking was another issue. There were significant delays both when dropping off and retrieving my vehicle, which was inconvenient and frustrating, especially given the level of service expected at this property. Cleanliness was also a concern. The room did not appear to be properly inspected before my arrival. A blanket taken from the closet had a visible stain on it, which was unacceptable and made me question the overall cleanliness of the room. Overall, this stay did not meet the standards I associate with the Hyatt brand. Better staff training, improved valet efficiency, and more thorough housekeeping would be necessary for me to consider returning
I'll start by saying the staff is absolutely wonderful, the rooms are well kept, clean, spacious, everything one would expect. But it was the little things that really got me about this location. Maybe it's just me, but I assumed after dropping over $3,500 on a hotel room that breakfast would be included on some level, even if it was just granola bars or something. I did not in my wildest dreams expect $20+ piece of toast with a small egg, and that was the cheapest item on the breakfast menu. That just seems greedy at that point . Several things like that I came across during my stay with things you would think would be included at a hotel demanding those kinds of prices for a room, only to find so much not only wasn't included, the price markups of 200% and higher were truly disgusting to the point that I will never stay at a Hyatt or it's affiliates ever again . Edit: One day after leaving this original review I was asked to leave at 8:00 p.m. at night after getting back from being in the ICU in the hospital all day. The woman claiming to be the operations manager claimed they had seen paraphernalia in my room and offered me no proof after I requested seeing what they were talking about , told me I needed to leave. I found this very strange happening the day after leaving a negative review. I should add that I was in the hospital for extremely degenerative Progressive medical issue that is quickly taking away my ability to walk and then it will shut down my arms and lastly my lungs. At this point I'm lucky to be able to crawl around a room to get from point A to point b, and even that is extremely painful.so I packed up a room full of music equipment and clothes that I had spent a day and a half unpacking because I was going to be at this hotel for 12 days. So it took me 4 hours of excruciatingly painful packing literally crawling across the floor trying to get everything into suitcases. Finally at 10:30 at night I had to crawl three stories out into the parking lot on concrete on my hands and knees being laughed at by by their patrons coming in the door and offered absolutely no help from any of their staff. Needless to say I was not offered any kind of refund but to put the icing on the cake they tried to charge my card for a bottle of water that was drunk after all of this. This place is absolutely absurd and inhuman and just downright wrong. I will be contacting local news stations to try and get the story covered because the way that they handled this was just unhuman.
I had an absolutely wonderful experience at the Fall for Fado event hosted by Hyatt Centric Woodlands! From the moment we arrived, Asher and Amire greeted myself, my niece, and our dogs with big smiles and thoughtful treats. They promptly brought out the menu and took the time to explain all the details of the event, making us feel welcome and well cared for. The event itself was fantastic my dogs even received complementary doggy bowls filled with fresh vegetables and unseasoned ground beef, which was such a lovely touch. The atmosphere was full of fun, games, and great vibes for both humans and pups alike. The level of customer service was top-notch, and Asher and Amire’s attentiveness made the experience feel personal and special. I highly recommend this event to anyone looking for a fun outing with their furry friends it’s a perfect way to enjoy good food, good times, and excellent hospitality!
Fantastic location for attending a concert at The Cynthia Wood’s Pavilion. A very short walk in a safe and nice area to and from the venue. Restaurants and high end shops surround the hotel. The bedding and mattress were super comfortable. The Bee Kind bathroom products were a pleasant surprise.
The hotel has a great location but that’s about it. The beds are rock hard, I woke up stiff and in pain. The walls are thin, we could hear people above us and a baby screaming early in the morning. Our room had no view, it looked out onto a parking lot. They have two bottles of water in the room that are only complimentary if you’re an Elite Member. If you’re not they are $6 each! Skip the $40 valet and park in the garage or behind the building. For the price I paid, $325 for one night, I expected much more. Truly disappointed.
This property is simply amazing. Sitting right on the most famous market street square. It overlooks an entire luxury shopping dining and experience just to feel the place. The Cynthia music pavilion is just a few minutes. Just checked there is a gymnasium...on the 2nd level..seen behind the bar....also great views from the room are excellent. Dallas at the check-in was simply so welcoming and help us settle in every way. Asher at the bar, helped me get gowda pimento bites....amazing and crispy at happy hour rates....it was very helpful to get the little late check out...guidance from DELA front desk manager... very interesting, location culturally too.and just to mention..Asher again...snacks are non vegetarian...but he helped get vegetarian are offered in the happy hour at half the price. Almost the drinks too are attractive, which we think. Take, there's a nice pool and hot tub on the 2nd floor. The rooms offer great views of the entire market street square. You cannot feel bored at all. This place also offers an interesting wipe and feel of the woodlands. It's a must to visit place. The room is equipped with a coffee. Make a refrigerator iron, and if you need anything, the reception Front desk is always very helpful, including Dallas and Monica customer. You attitude is very high in this property felt at home and enjoy the median.Visit more on the breakfast tomorrow. Breakfast was only a la carte...Gerardo was very helpful....Rouben on requesting got the order quickly..but is a rude and candid human being The menu is uploaded here...you can order from 630am and it will be ready when you come down for Breakfast. Just thought as a reviewer...this can get your quick service. As no buffet out here.
We had the best time here. The staff was amazing. They knew my daughter was in the Jr Olympics and they all were asking her how it was going when they saw her. It was so wonderful how personable they are. The valet even mentioned to me concern over how my rental was running. The hotel is smaller but the location makes up for it. Everything was clean. Hyatt could make a substantial revenue line by selling the pillows ...I love them.
Disappointing Stay Not Worth the Hype I booked the Hyatt Centric in The Woodlands for a birthday getaway, drawn in by the hotel’s prime location and what I believed would be an upscale experience. Unfortunately, the stay was far from what I expected. I reserved a Luxury Suite, anticipating a high level of comfort and cleanliness. Instead, I was met with water-damaged counters, filthy walls, and what appeared to be bloody stains on the curtains, completely unacceptable for any hotel, let alone one positioning itself as a luxury property. After raising my concerns, I was moved to another room, only to find that the second suite had similar issues, showing a clear lack of upkeep and attention to detail. Needless to say, this experience was incredibly disappointing. I’ve stayed at Westin and Marriott properties in the past and never encountered anything like this. I’ll be returning to those brands in the future where quality and cleanliness are actually prioritized.
