The Heritage Inn & Suites in The Woodlands receives mixed reviews, with guests praising its convenient location, comfortable beds, and friendly staff. However, concerns frequently arise regarding dated facilities, inconsistent breakfast quality, unreliable internet, and a lack of responsiveness from management to guest issues. Recent reviews highlight issues with cleanliness and a decline in service compared to previous stays.
The front desk receptionist was super welcoming and checked me in quickly. My room was spotless, and the A/C was already at the perfect temperature contrasting the outside Texas heat. Would definitely recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a quick weekend getaway!
Great location! The hotel is older and outdated, but has everything you need. There is a $10 parking fee every day so beware. Towels are super thin, but the beds were very comfortable. Breakfast was basic and fine, same thing every day, though some days they were out of milk. No waffles like some of the photos show. Would stay again for the location itself.
If you are a professional that has to work while staying, take this as a huge warning. Their "free" internet is 5mbps. You cant barely check emails with that let alone get any work done. Oh, but you have an option to pay 5 dollars a day for "premium" which is not much better. The desk staff dont care, even the hotel manager strung me along for 2 days, saying he would work on getting me an access point. Explaining to your boss after your house floods that you cant work in the hotel cause their internet is in the stone ages is embarrassing. For being the woodlands/Shenandoah, this place was not what it seemed. Charging for parking which they quickly say they can remove, but you'll find the daily parking charges on your bank every single day anyway. Call the hotel, after 2 rings it goes to an overseas company to book you. Found out I was charged 140 dollars more than the hotel charges if you actually can book with them directly. They dont care and will push for you to call Agoba to dispute. Room: the suite was actually neat. Sized like a kitchenless 1 br apartment. Should probably use a skirt on the bed cause you can see the wear and stains on the box spring. Stains on the walls like paint splatters. Staff: friendly, but they dont care about any troubles, inconveniences or problems. Its a "ill see what I can do" response to everything with no real action. Manager offered to move us to another room to be next to an access point so that I could work, literally the night before checkout. I asked 2 days prior. No removal of parking fees despite offering it. Passing blame off to either Wyndam or another 3rd party without taking responsibility or helping. I would steer clear of this place. Unless its a place to hang your hat for a night. But for us, this place has us steering clear of any Wyndam hotels.
Unsafe experience and poor management response. My stay at this hotel was very disappointing. On the first day, the hallways were extremely noisy, making it difficult to relax and enjoy my stay. On the second day, I witnessed people smoking marijuana in the pool area, which made the environment feel uncomfortable and unsafe, especially for families and guests using the amenities. I immediately requested a call from management, but no one ever followed up. I was informed there was no manager available on the weekends, and despite my request, my concerns were never addressed. The lack of response and accountability from management was very disappointing. I expected a safer environment, better enforcement of hotel policies, and improved customer service. I would not recommend staying here based on my experience.
Room was great, bed was comfy. Not to far from the start of the Woodlands Marathon. My wife won her AG so we were waiting on the award ceremony that pushed us past the 11am checkout. They were so cool and didn’t charge us. Our dog Chubbs had a blast too as he loves to travel and stay in hotels.
From the moment we arrived, the staff set the tone—they were warm, patient, and impressively efficient, even with a literal busload of guests checking in at the same time. Our room was clean, the beds were comfortable, and breakfast hit the spot! Throughout our stay, every staff member we interacted with was kind, attentive, and quick to help with anything we needed. The location couldn’t be more convenient, making it easy to get anywhere we wanted to go. We’ll absolutely stay here again the next time we’re in the area!
Staff was very friendly. Breakfast was very busy both mornings we were there and they were running out of food and coffee but they were on top of it and made sure everyone got what they needed. My only complaint was that the water in the sink and the shower did not get hot. It was just warm enough to power through a quick rinse off. For this I took a star. A hot shower is important to starting or ending your day and unfortunately we didn't have one over the weekend. I was excited to get home and take a long extra hot bath lol. Overall, price, location and customer service was worth the stay.
Clean, quire and comfortable room. For the price, compared too other hotel we used in the pass 2-3 years, this hotel, the room condition, location was better than others However, the one disappointment which kept me from rating it a 5 (even considered a 3) was the breakfast. The selections are minimal but would be ok if quantity was what would be expected. The pancake machine should be removed immediately!!! All it produced were tiny things which somewhat resembled the look of pancakes. However, these things were no more than fake pieces of rubberized material which could be pulled & stretched but could not be cut or chewed. I would challenge the manager to eat one of these “pancakes". I recommended that the manager be challenged to eat one of these things. Also the orange juice taste like extremely low quality VERY watered down "juice”. Even after putting a fresh bag of juice in the dispenser people were throwing cups of "juice" away.
I booked a king suite at The Heritage Inn last minute for Winter Storm Fern. After walking in the cold from the hospital, I was greeted with warmth and sincerity. Check in was really a breeze (like less than a minute). They had free fresh popcorn in the lobby! The hotel and room was a bit dated, but let me tell you, my room was spotless! I’m a neat/clean freak with some high standards and I was impressed! I would most definitely stay at The Heritage Inn again!
When got in around 8:30pm on a Friday there were a couple of other parties being helped at the front desk. It seemed we had the same attendant the entire weekend we were there. He was very kind and helpful for most of the weekend but was a bit short/unfriendly with us when we arrived. The rooms were clean, and even though it’s a friendly-pet friendly hotel there was no dog/animal smell to the public spaces or room 707. The first night we enjoyed the pool and the hot tub. The Saturday we were there some parents allowed their kids to be unsupervised. The kids left wet towels and food on the pool deck as well as in the hot tub, also some kind of sudsing agent and its water level was noticeably lower than the day before. This left the hot tub unusable for the rest of our trip. At breakfast, they had the usual coffee and juice choices, scrambled eggs (probably from powder?) and sausage. We were looking for boiled eggs, but didn’t find any. The above sounds kind of negative, but we actually had a really good time there and might even visit again. Overall, the value for our stay was great and the spaces were clean. It’s an aging hotel but it seems like the staff are doing their part to take care of it. If we stay again, and the kid problem happens where I catch them they are in trouble. ?
