The Heritage Inn & Suites in The Woodlands generally receives positive feedback, particularly regarding its location, cleanliness, and friendly staff. However, recurring concerns revolve around the quality and variety of the breakfast offerings, with some guests citing cold food and limited choices. While many appreciate the hotel’s convenience and value, some rooms feel dated and require updates.
Room was great, bed was comfy. Not to far from the start of the Woodlands Marathon. My wife won her AG so we were waiting on the award ceremony that pushed us past the 11am checkout. They were so cool and didn’t charge us. Our dog Chubbs had a blast too as he loves to travel and stay in hotels.
From the moment we arrived, the staff set the tone—they were warm, patient, and impressively efficient, even with a literal busload of guests checking in at the same time. Our room was clean, the beds were comfortable, and breakfast hit the spot! Throughout our stay, every staff member we interacted with was kind, attentive, and quick to help with anything we needed. The location couldn’t be more convenient, making it easy to get anywhere we wanted to go. We’ll absolutely stay here again the next time we’re in the area!
Staff was very friendly. Breakfast was very busy both mornings we were there and they were running out of food and coffee but they were on top of it and made sure everyone got what they needed. My only complaint was that the water in the sink and the shower did not get hot. It was just warm enough to power through a quick rinse off. For this I took a star. A hot shower is important to starting or ending your day and unfortunately we didn't have one over the weekend. I was excited to get home and take a long extra hot bath lol. Overall, price, location and customer service was worth the stay.
Clean, quire and comfortable room. For the price, compared too other hotel we used in the pass 2-3 years, this hotel, the room condition, location was better than others However, the one disappointment which kept me from rating it a 5 (even considered a 3) was the breakfast. The selections are minimal but would be ok if quantity was what would be expected. The pancake machine should be removed immediately!!! All it produced were tiny things which somewhat resembled the look of pancakes. However, these things were no more than fake pieces of rubberized material which could be pulled & stretched but could not be cut or chewed. I would challenge the manager to eat one of these “pancakes". I recommended that the manager be challenged to eat one of these things. Also the orange juice taste like extremely low quality VERY watered down "juice”. Even after putting a fresh bag of juice in the dispenser people were throwing cups of "juice" away.
I booked a king suite at The Heritage Inn last minute for Winter Storm Fern. After walking in the cold from the hospital, I was greeted with warmth and sincerity. Check in was really a breeze (like less than a minute). They had free fresh popcorn in the lobby! The hotel and room was a bit dated, but let me tell you, my room was spotless! I’m a neat/clean freak with some high standards and I was impressed! I would most definitely stay at The Heritage Inn again!
When got in around 8:30pm on a Friday there were a couple of other parties being helped at the front desk. It seemed we had the same attendant the entire weekend we were there. He was very kind and helpful for most of the weekend but was a bit short/unfriendly with us when we arrived. The rooms were clean, and even though it’s a friendly-pet friendly hotel there was no dog/animal smell to the public spaces or room 707. The first night we enjoyed the pool and the hot tub. The Saturday we were there some parents allowed their kids to be unsupervised. The kids left wet towels and food on the pool deck as well as in the hot tub, also some kind of sudsing agent and its water level was noticeably lower than the day before. This left the hot tub unusable for the rest of our trip. At breakfast, they had the usual coffee and juice choices, scrambled eggs (probably from powder?) and sausage. We were looking for boiled eggs, but didn’t find any. The above sounds kind of negative, but we actually had a really good time there and might even visit again. Overall, the value for our stay was great and the spaces were clean. It’s an aging hotel but it seems like the staff are doing their part to take care of it. If we stay again, and the kid problem happens where I catch them they are in trouble. ?
The hotel was clean overall. It felt a little dated but the bedding was comfy and clean. The bath towels were not the best and seemed worn out. I made the best of it. For the price point, it's certainly worth it. The location was prime and I felt very safe. I would stay again.
Right off the expressway so easy to get to. Room was clean and comfortable. Free breakfast was good and plentiful (scrambled eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy, potatoes, also cereals yogurt and some breads/muffins. Pool and hot tub were very nice - my only complaint is there were no pool towels. Also as a bonus there is a nice Greek restaurant next door. For those traveling with a pet there is a fenced in dog park about 10 minutes away.
They only charge a pet fee per room per night instead of a separate fee for each pet. The beds were very comfortable, and the A/C worked great. The pool area (part of the pool is inside, then part is open to the outside) looked very inviting, but we were just there for a bed for the night. The exercise room looked nice as well. There is a standard "hotel" breakfast of scrambled eggs, biscuits, gravy, sausage links, and this one had some home fries as well as cereals, coffee, juice and some pastry and yogurt. I think the hotel breakfasts are all the same throughout the industry. There were two very nice features. (1) You can check in online so that when you arrive, they just scan your credit card and hand you the keys. and (2) Ms. King was on duty when I arrived, and she was very engaging as we discovered both our last names are King; she was from Virginia, and I once lived in Tennessee, so we joked that we are probably related somewhere down the line. Both her maiden name and married name are King, which kind of made our suspicions stronger. She immediately felt like a friend, and that's a rare occurrence when dealing with business people. The only suggestion I have for you is to turn on your roadside sign at night. When we returned that night around 10 pm, we drove right past the hotel and had to go several miles down the feeder road to do a U-turn, then come back again.
Very clean, I liked they cleaned the room everyday. I gave a 4 star on service, because the lady that checked us in wasn't that friendly. It seemed like she didn't want to be there. Customer services is very important. 4 stars on the room, because there wasn't hot water after 9 am. It was fine before than. I would still return!
